Laser Vein Removal

Gold Standard Laser Approach to Making Leg Veins Disappear

Visible leg veins are a common problem for aging women. Surgical vein removal can leave scarring at the incision point, put clients at risk for infection and involve lengthy recovery times. Even newer, less invasive vein removal procedures still require topical anesthetic to control pain.

Laser leg vein treatment from Palomar® offers you an alternative for the clearing of spider veins and reticular veins - with no incision, minimal discomfort and no downtime.

Our patented laser technology treats leg veins with superior comfort while promoting excellent client satisfaction. Our laser leg vein removal uses pulses of laser light at just the right wavelength to constrict the vessels responsible for leg veins, causing the vein to degenerate and visibly disappear.

The laser light passes through the epidermis, only affecting blood vessels, so there is no injury to outer skin. The result? Quick and easy leg vein procedures with reduced side effects and little to no recovery time.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing

The latest FDA approved laser resurfacing to improve fine lines, wrinkles, texture, scarring, wrinkles, elasticity, stretch marks, while evening out the skin color, with less downtime than older
technology like CO2 resurfacing.

Fractional Ablative (2940) Skin Resurfacing:
One time treatment, or may be combined with 1540 treatment, for optimal results. (3-6 days of downtime)

This treatment works by creating thousands of microscopic areas where the top layer of the skin is ablated (removed). Much like aerating the lawn on a golf course, these tiny areas of damage are surrounded by untreated skin, which allows for very fast recovery times. Traditional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing can take three weeks on average to heal and present the risk of persistent redness, lines of demarcation between treated and untreated areas and a higher risk of scarring. Ablative fractional resurfacing with the Lux2940 produces essentially the same result with an average of 4-6 days of downtime and the use of local anesthesia only. Areas that can be treated include the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, specific scars and certain types of benign skin lesions.

How Are Treatments Performed?

Usually, only one treatment is needed. You may prepare for the treatment by avoiding the sun, wearing sunscreen and following the pre-treatment skin care regimen prescribed by your doctor. You will be prescribed medication to prevent an outbreak of cold sores and an antibiotic to prevent infection starting a day before your treatment. The treatment will take about 45 minutes, but you will be prepared with a topical numbing cream and possibly something to take to relax you before the treatment. Treatment is not painful and the topical numbing cream is all that is needed.

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

Since this is an ablative laser, you will experience redness, swelling and possibly itching after the procedure. This is normal and is the expected result. You will care for your healing skin following specific instructions prepared for you by our staff. Your skin will be healed in 5-6 days and you can go back to wearing makeup and to work or play. You may experience pinkness in the treated areas that may last for several weeks, but that will fade quickly. You will complete the medications prescribed by your doctor and begin a skin care regimen that will help you achieve and maintain the best results.

What Are The Results?

This powerful laser is quite amazing in that similar results to traditional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing, overall improvement in the skin is 50-75%. Areas improved include wrinkles, skin texture, skin discoloration and sun spots. You may expect a 50-75% improvement in the appearance of these conditions. After several years, you will still have improvement in these areas. Results typically last years and can be maintained with a professional skin care regimen.

Safety: Fractional resurfacing is safe. Through extensive research and development, fractional resurfacing was designed to avoid the side effects associated with traditional laser resurfacing. Having achieved this goal, fractional laser technology has fast taken over the laser resurfacing industry with excellent results. Palomar is the leader in fractional resurfacing technology and has proved itself once again with the Lux2940 Fractional Laser.

Flexibility: The Lux2940 Fractional Laser allows your doctor to select several parameters for treatment to carefully control the amount of downtime and result associated with the procedure. For example, one setting allows a very fast treatment time and recovery time while achieving a great result. Another setting increases the heat created around the tiny laser columns. This produces a better result, but carries a few extra days of downtime in exchange. There is a unique dual pulse blend mode for the ultimate in flexibility.

Palomar LUX 1540 Fractional Laser (non-ablative 1540):
Gradual process of 3-5 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart. No Peeling.

Palomar developed and patented Fractional Photothermolysis to create a revolutionary treatment: soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and no downtime.

The Palomar LUX 1540 Fractional Laser Handpiece delivers light in an array of high precision microbeams. These microbeams create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation that penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, while sparing the tissue surrounding the columns from damage.

Deep Penetration for Best Results

The Palomar LUX 1540 microbeams penetrate deeper (up to 1 mm) than other devises. These deep columns of coagulated tissue initiate a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue to fill in the damaged treatment zones; the deeper the columns, the more new tissue. Coagulated collagen and cellular debris is expelled as skin is resurfaced. Throughout the process, the integrity of the top layer of skin is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals.

High Efficacy, No Downtime

The Palomar LUX 1540 offers greater energy per microbeam than any competing device. With only two or three passes, the handpiece achieves a high density of high-powered, deep penetrating microbeams for the most effective deep corrections and long-term dermal remodeling obtainable. In addition the LUX 1540 delivers uniform microbeam penetration, a consistency that can not be matched by systems that use a scanning approach.

Photorejuvenation / Photofacial / IPL

Skin naturally appears older through the passage of time. If you suffer from early aging changes, sun damage, rosacea, or you simply wish to improve your skin, then Photorejuvenation may be right for you.

Photorejuventation improves both the superficial and deeper skin layers by normalizing the epidermis and stimulating collagen production in the dermis.

    • Revives dull complexions
    • Decreases brown spots and freckling
    • Decreases flushing
    • Softens fine lines
    • Removes broken capillaries
    • Evens mottled pigmentation
    • Reduces the signs of Rosacea

Photorejuvenation is a non-invasive non-laser technology that supplies a broad spectrum of pulsed light deep down to the collagen producing level of the skin. Each 20-40 minute treatment targets brown spots and fine blood vessels in the skin reducing the signs of sun damage and redness. With multiple treatments collagen production is stimulated, resulting in a healthier refreshed and more youthful appearance.

Treatments may be used on any part of the skin, but are particularly effective for improving the appearance of the face, neck, chest, and hands. Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the problem, a series of four to six treatments are generally recommended for best results.
